About AYLIN WARD / WHAT to expect

Aylin Ward is an experienced cook, keen food communicator and former restaurant owner who has prepared easy access cookery demonstrations as well as supper club dining experiences – in a homely farmhouse kitchen setting, located near Fakenham, North Norfolk.

From one-to one mentoring to group activities introducing tastes and cooking techniques from around the world. Demonstrations will always aim to use local produce and easy to follow recipes.

Managing a series of supper clubs to enjoy fresh tastes from various regions providing delicious menus to provide a backdrop to an enjoyable and memorable evenings for you, your family and friends old and new.

OUR GASTRONOMIC WORLD

Each event is tailor-made to introduce new tastes and traditions to showcase authentic flavours and experiences. All ingredients are tailor-made to keep those taste buds tingling.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES I PROVIDE

Aylin’s intention is that everyone will leave one of her events having gained a closer understanding of Mediterranean and Middle eastern food culture. She will cover some of these essentials but is open to developing a more tailor-made event on request.

BALANCING FLAVOURS

Aylin will introduce traditional flavours throughout the eastern Mediterranean region from Turkey to Lebanon and the Middle East. The demonstrations and supper club are conceived using mostly local producers, growing seasonally appropriate fruit and vegetables, keeping quality up and food miles low

INNOVATIVE DEMONSTRATIONS

Each cookery demonstration is planned around the needs of its participants. Subjects will vary, and there will be nothing that is technically difficult or requiring specialist equipment. Her classes are a chance to learn more about cooking techniques, add foolproof recipes to your repetoire and enjoy tasting sessions to get familiar with the variety of Mediterranean food.

GLUTEN-FREE / VEGAN / VEGETARIAN

A feature of the demonstrations will be developing a more varied menu for gluten free and vegetarian dietary requirements. Subject areas where cooking can be a little repetitive and lacking in imagination particularly when the same dishes are cooked on a regular basis. Aylin will show you how to break out of that cycle, introducing you to new dishes.

GASTRONOMIC JOURNEYS

Your journeys with Aylin are intended to inspire and inform. Each encompasses entry and lower levels of cooking ability and require nothing more than an empty note book and a healthy appetite for making and enjoying good food.

TEAM BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES

Aylin believes cooking should be a relaxed process. Her demonstrations are professionally run - but intended to be informal and fun. ideal for for picking up tips and learning in a group setting.

KITCHEN CUPBOARD MANAGEMENT

The farmers and growers of Norfolk are among the best in the country, their produce is genuinely of high quality and treasured sources will be shared. There will be suggestions of essential additions to every food lovers cupboard to bring into dishes on a regular basis.
